A 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded Saturday night on the West Side in Austin.

He was shot in the buttocks by someone who walked up to him as he stood on a corner around 9:45 p.m. in the 5600 block of West Fulton, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital.
