Woman missing from South Chicago group home

Police are asking for the public’s help to find a woman who went missing from a group home in the South Chicago neighborhood.

Nicole Travis, 34, was last seen July 27 at the New Beginnings Group home in the 8000 block of South Manistee, according to an alert issued by Area South detectives.

Travis is described as a 5-foot-5, 150-pound black woman with brown eyes, brown hair and a medium complexion, the alert said. She has bipolar disorder and a scar on her upper lip.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at (312) 747-8274.
