A man suffered an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound early Tuesday in the Streeterville neighborhood on the Near North Side.

The 25-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in the 100 block of East Ohio about 4:10 a.m., police said.

He took himself to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.

Police said the shooting appears to be self-inflicted.
