Man stabbed to death on South Side

A man was stabbed to death in what police called a domestic incident Thursday evening on the South Side.

Reginald Boston, 44, was stabbed in the chest about 6 p.m. at a home in the 300 block of East 48th Street, authorities said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office said the stabbing occurred in the 5500 block of South King Drive.

Boston, of the 3500 block of West 74th Street, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:11 p.m., police said. An autopsy Friday found he died of multiple stab wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.

“All parties involved” in the stabbing remained at the scene, police said. No charges had been filed, and no charges were pending as of Friday evening, police said.
