1 dead, 1 injured in Richton Park shooting

(RICHTON PARK) A Chicago was killed and another man was injured Wednesday evening in a shooting in south suburban Richton Park.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 7 p.m. near an Auto Zone at 3650 Sauk Trail found an unresponsive man lying on the sidewalk, according to a statement from Richton Park police.

Henry Bailey, 32, of the 100 block of North Campbell Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Another man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound was found at a nearby business and taken to the hospital, police said.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the shooting.
