Sean Hayes and longtime partner plan to wed

Congratulations are in order for Glen Ellyn native Sean Hayes. The actor and producer has become engaged to his longtime partner, music producer and composer Scott Icenogle.

The couple have been together about eight years. Rumors had circulated Monday when Hayes appeared on “The Talk” chatfest wearing a ring. However Hayes’ publicist clarified that the couple are merely engaged, not yet hitched. Apparently, the two men have been engaged for some time.

Hayes, who grew up in the Western suburbs, is best known for his Emmy-winning role of Jack McFarland on “Will & Grace.” After eight years on the NBC hit sitcom, he went on to a Tony Award-nominated role on Broadway in “Promises, Promises.” The actor also hosted the 2010 Emmys — a gig that led to him winning yet another Emmy for his work on the telecast of the award show. More recently he has returned to the small screen on his own short-lived “Sean Saves The World.” He now appears on “The Millers” sitcom.
