A teenage boy was hurt in a drive-by shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood Monday night.

About 8:05 p.m., the 14-year-old was standing on the corner in the 8500 block of South Exchange when shots were fired from a light-colored vehicle, police said.

The boy was shot in the lower back and taken to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
