Man shot in Back of the Yards

A man was shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side on Friday afternoon.

The 35-year-old was walking in an alley in the 4700 block of South Honore about 2:35 p.m. when someone walked up, opened fire and took off in a vehicle, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

The man was shot in the arm and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Sweeney said.
