Man seriously wounded in Gage Park shooting

A man was seriously wounded in a shooting late Saturday in the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood.

The man, whose exact age was not immediately available, was shot in the head in the 5400 block of South Talman at 11:25 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition, Alfaro said.

Details on the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
