Barrington Road resurfacing to begin in Hoffman Estates

(HOFFMAN ESTATES) Barrington Road will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Higgins and Schaumburg roads in northwest suburban Hoffman Estates with a resurfacing project starting Monday.

Workers will be patching pavement on the roadway and adding new traffic markings, according to a statement from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Traffic in both directions will be reduced to one lane during daytime hours, officials said. The project is slated to be completed by June 10 next year, with construction suspended during the winter.

Drivers should expect delays in the area and are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and work zone speed limits, officials said.
