Man shot in South Shore

A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 21-year-old man was shot in the leg and the buttocks about 4:25 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Clyde, police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.
