Ted Cruz says net neutrality is ‘Obamacare for the Internet’

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, didn’t waste any time voicing his displeasure for the steps President Barack Obama wants to take to ensure net neutrality.

In fact, he’s calling it “Obamacare for the Internet.”

Obama wants the FCC to implement rules to make sure there is no blocking, no throttling, increased transparency and no paid prioritization.

But Amanda Carpenter, Cruz’s spokeswoman, says such moves would put the government “in charge of determining pricing, terms of service, and what products can be delivered. Sound like Obamacare much?”
