(LANSING) A fatal crash involving a truck and a bicyclist shut down an onramp to I-80/94 in south suburban Lansing Wednesday morning, state police said.

The truck hit the bicyclist, 46-year-old Gene Allen Scow, about 5:15 a.m. near I-80/94 and Torrence Avenue, according to Illinois State Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Scow, of the 100 block of Hillcrest Lane in Bartlett, was pronounced dead at 12 a.m. Wednesday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
