Multi-vehicle crash reported on inbound Kennedy downtown

A multi-vehicle crash on the Kennedy Expressway (I-90) led to multiple lane closures downtown early Friday.

The crash was reported in the eastbound lanes of the Kennedy near Madison around 4 a.m., according to Illinois State Police.

The crash involved three vehicles and at least one person was injured, police said. At least two lanes of the expressway were closed as of 4:30 a.m., but reopened about an hour later.

The injuries were non-life-threatening, police said.
