Police: 3 burglaries last week on Near West Side

Police are warning residents and business owners after three burglaries reported last week on the Near West Side.

According to a community alert from Near West District detectives, someone stole property after breaking into homes and businesses:

–in the 1800 block of West Washington in the daytime on Nov. 17,

–in the 1900 block of West Maypole overnight on Nov. 19,

–in the 1900 block of West Walnut sometime between Nov. 19 and 19.

Police urged people to keep property well-lit and to keep doors and windows well-maintained.
