A man was wounded in a Washington Park neighborhood drive-by shooting on the South Side early Monday.

The 27-year-old was in a car about 4:30 a.m. in the 5900 block of South Michigan when another vehicle with three people inside pulled up and one of them opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Ana Pacheco said.

He was shot in the back and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, Pacheco said.
