Popular actor and comedian Cedric the Entertainer will be in Chicago this weekend as part of “Step On Up,” an educational program and public service announcement developed as a joint venture between the American Diabetes Association and the Pfizer drug company.

In connection with all that, Cedric will be speaking at two churches on Sunday to spread the word about diabetic nerve pain and its connection to diabetes — and to encourage people with diabetes to discuss it with their physicians.

Cedric will attend the 8 a.m. service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 1309 Madison St., Maywood. He then will speak at the 11 a.m. service at New Beginnings Church, 6620 S. King Dr.
