Daily Horoscopes | By Georgia Nicols

MOON ALERT: Until 6:30 p.m., we have the all-clear to do business (whether $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The Moon is in Aries.

IF December 29 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: Actress Patricia Clarkson (1959) shares your birthday. You are a natural leader although you are also comfortable in supporting the leadership of others. But whatever you do invariably influences those around you. This year you will face a major decision. Save your money in the first half of the year and cut down on overhead expenses, because this will help you later in the year. Your integrity and patience will be tested.

◆ARIES (March 21-April 19): You’re full of optimism. This could relate to sports events, children or a social outing. However, a clash with an authority figure might throw a wrench in the works. Just deal with this. Maintain your optimism. One doesn’t have to wipe out the other.

◆TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Avoid controversial subjects like religion, politics and racial issues because it’s easy to have differences with others. Fortunately, relations with family and your home scene please you, so this will offset any unpleasantness with others. (One hopes.)

◆GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Even you might have difficulties discussing issues about shared property, inheritances or insurance matters; nevertheless, this is a great day to schmooze with people! In particular, you’ll enjoy conversations with female friends and acquaintances. Mingle with groups.

◆CANCER (June 21-July 22): You’re sort of in the line of fire. Others will notice you, and they might discuss personal details about your private life, which could create conflict with a partner or close friend. Yet, at the same time, this high viz. might boost your salary in some way. Go figure.

◆LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): This is a great day to travel; so if you have an opportunity to do so — grab it. You will enjoy talking to groups, especially people from other cultures and different countries. Explore publishing opportunities and chances to use the media. Be tactful with co-workers to avoid conflict.

◆VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Even though you might have difficulty with a romantic partner today; or you might have challenges with children and social outings. Nevertheless, this is a good day to discuss shared property, inheritances and insurance matters. Others will be generous to you.

◆LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): It’s a mixed bag. Relationships with partners, friends and members of the general public are upbeat and friendly. Nevertheless, something on the home scene or perhaps with a family member is a bit fractious. Perhaps needed home repairs nag you?

◆SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): This is a positive day at work. Work-related travel is likely. Your relations with co-workers are positive; in fact, you will have successful meetings and work nicely with teams. But a conversation with a sibling or a daily contact could be challenging.

◆SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): This is a playful, fun-loving day. Enjoy romantic outings, sports events, the arts and fun activities with children. The only downside to this day is quarrels about money or financial concerns might give you pause. Fortunately, it’s minor stuff.

◆CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Although things on the home front are positive and upbeat, you are a bit nervous, worried or frazzled for some reason. At the very least, you are excited. Someone might say something that puts you off your game, who knows? Anyhow, you will enjoy good conversations with family members, especially females.

◆AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): This is a good day to schmooze with others, especially siblings and daily contacts. It’s also a good day to write, sell, market, teach or act. Nevertheless, there is something in the background that is niggling. It could be a minor worry. A niggling worry is a drag, indeed.

◆PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Money and financial negotiations look good. Business transactions should go well. Don’t feel down if you have difficulty talking to someone, especially someone in a group. Many people feel this way. Just go with what is working and avoid what is obviously going south. (Groan.)

The Latest
In every possible way, Williams feels like a breath of fresh air for a franchise that desperately needed it. This is a different type of quarterback and a compelling personality.
Even Caleb Williams was asking Poles why the Bears have had such a hard time developing a quality quarterback. But the Bears’ GM has responded by not only getting Williams, but a solid supporting cast that should put him in a position to succeed.
When asked how he felt the players were developing, Chris Getz said, “I look forward to seeing better performances from our players.”
So the Sox have that going for them, which is, you know, something.
Have the years of quarterback frustration been worth this moment? We’re about to find out.
