Considering the huge popularity of the raunchy and sexy “Fifty Shades of Grey,” I guess we shouldn’t be surprised by the anticipation for the upcoming film, based on E.L. James’ bestselling erotic novel.

The trailer previewing the upcoming movie (opening in February), has set a record for the most-viewed trailer of 2014.

“Fifty Shades of Grey” hit 36.4 million YouTube views since it was released on July 24, according to the Zefr technology firm, cited by the Hollywood Reporter.

That beat the 31 million views racked up by the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” trailer when it debuted in March.
