Rap runs in the family: Taylor Bennett video featuring King Louie debuts on MTV

Chicago hip hop is a hot commodity nowadays, so it’s no surprise that MTV would take steps to secure the video premiere for “New Chevy,” the latest song from Taylor Bennett (who just so happens to be Chance the Rapper’s little brother.)

The song is the first single off of Bennett’s sophomore project, “Mainstream Music,” which released in May. It’s essentially about a guy who has a new car and wants to show it off to his girl. As far as songs go, it’s pretty good summer fare. Directed by Thelonious Stokes, it also features a verse from King Louie and beautiful images of Chicago, sans any references to recent violence issues.

Refreshing, right?
