Hard to believe but this week marks the 15th anniversary of the release of the groundbreaking teen flick “American Pie.” Among the stars of the film was Thomas Ian Nicholas, who also shot “Rookie of the Year” here — back when Chicago-area moviemaking wasn’t all that common.
