Niles North named Glenn Olson its new boys basketball head coach, replacing Bill Pistorius. Olson spent the last two season at Maine East, where he directed the Demons to 37 wins and a regional title in the past two seasons.

East is expected to be good again despite losing three starters off this past season’s 19-9 club. Players with eligibility left include starters Nuse Khan and Abdul Nader. Charles McKinney and Al Nagode also contributed.

Check out Niles and Park Ridge papers online later today for more and next week’s print editions.
