Young coach Tyrone Slaughter has confirmed that Marcus Jordan sprained his ankle over the weekend at Chicago State. Simeon knocked off Young to win the tournament. Young sophomore Anthony Johnson continues to receive rave reviews and is being acknowledged as the No. 2 sophomore in the class (behind North Shore’s Jereme Richmond).

According to Rivals.com, Washington’s DeAndre Liggins has trimmed his list to four. Texas is out because it is too far from home. Liggins is down to Kansas, Memphis, Illinois and Kentucky. He was in Kansas on a visit over the weekend.

Sources close to the 6-6 guard tell the Sun-Times that Memphis is the leader for Liggins.

Foreman rising soph Lavonte Dority received an offer from New Mexico over the weekend and former Young assistant Mandel Oliver was named head coach at Morgan Park.
