Korhonen retires

Richards’ Gary Korhonen, the winningest football coach in Illinois history, who won back-to-back state championships in the lase 1980s announced his resignation after 42 years on Friday.

Korhonen, who said he was not burned out and is in excellent health, will continue teach through May.
