1. The AHAI announced the playoff brackets for the upcoming state tournament. New Trier Green, Loyola Gold, Glenbrook North and Providence are the top four seeds in the boys bracket, respectively. The state championship games will be played on Thursday, March 20 at the United Center. The girls game starts at 4 p.m. and the boys play at 6:30.

2. Maine Township had one of the top goal differentials in the Chicagoland area this season. The Hawks scored 150 goals and allowed only 59. Their plus-91 differential was the best among teams in the North-Central, Scholastic Suburban and West Leagues. Only Providence had a better differential than Maine, as the Celtics scored 125 goals and allowed 32, giving them a plus-93 differential.

3. Stevenson’s Jared Projansky finished the 2013-14 season as the co-scoring champions of the Scholastic League, along with St. Viator’s David Kellner. Both players finished with 48 points. The two players helped out their teams in similar ways. Projansky finished with 19 goals and 29 assists, while Kellner had 16 goals and 32 assists.
