Meatheads is a chain of fast-casual burger restaurants throughout the Chicagoland area. Each month, it recognizes a student-athlete in the area surrounding each location for his or her accomplishments on and off the field.

1. How do you exemplify Meatheads’ values of determination, hustle and hard work?

I practice every day, especially during the summer and then during the golf season. During school, we practice every day.

2. What were your greatest athletic and academic achievements over the last month?

My high school season so far has been going pretty good. I shot 79 last weekend at the Naperville North Invite, I was pretty proud of that. At school, I’m taking what I consider hard classes and doing well, that’s something I’m also proud of.

3. Is there a teammate, coach, faculty or family member you’d credit most with your athletic and academic successes?

I have to say, our new coach Nick Latorre has been a blessing. He’s been awesome and super helpful.

4. Where are you going to college, or where do you want to go?

My plans are up in the air, there’s a lot to take into consideration.

5. Do you plan on playing a sport in college?

I’d definitely like to play golf in college.

6. Who is your favorite athlete playing today, collegiate or professional?

I don’t watch a lot of golf, interestingly. A lot of my teammates do, but I prefer to do something else with my free time.

7. What’s on your iPod right now?

Country music. Pretty much everything country, and some pop songs.

8. What’s the best movie or television show you’ve seen recently?

“Gator Boys” on Animal Planet.

9. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully getting a job as an elementary school teacher, kindergarten through third grade. Hopefully I can continue to play golf, but I’m not quite sure the path my life will take yet.

10. What is your favorite motivational quote?

Every time I putt, I like to remind myself, “You’ve already made the putt in your head, you just have to go out and do it.”
