A man was shot multiple times Thursday afternoon in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The shooting happened in the 6600 block of South California about 12:25 p.m., police said.

The 35-year-old was shot in the nose and arm and taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

Further details about the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available.
