Nothing to see here on the Derrick Rose front.

The point guard showed he was alive and well Monday afternoon, and will play tonight against Orlando, after missing the Saturday win over Milwaukee with left knee soreness.

“Feeling good, in good spirits,’’ Rose said after the morning shootaround. “My knee is fine, so I’m not worried about it. It’s nothing I didn’t have before, just a little sore, so just trying to be cautious about it.’’

Rose was right about one thing, it wasn’t the first time he’s had soreness in the left knee that was surgically repaired back in the 2012 season.

It acted up when the team was playing an exhibition game in Brazil in the 2013-14 training camp, it showed itself this past summer when he was playing with Team USA, and it had its moments in camp several times in the fall.

As far as Rose was concerned, he has such a good understanding of his body – particularly his knees – that he knows exactly the course to take in making sure he can get back on the court.

“You think about it, it’s not out the norm,’’ Rose said. “Having two knee surgeries, it’s just some type of soreness that came upon from playing in the Washington game [Friday], and it held me back a game. If it was something that was lingering or I felt it the entire time along that stretch, that 15-game, 20-game stretch I would have been very worried about it, but I didn’t feel it until after the Washington game.

“I know exactly what it is. For sure, I know exactly what it is. I know how to warm-up my body. I think I’ve become a great pro, and having two knee injuries you really learn how to take care of your body. I think I’m doing a great job with it.’’

As far as Mike Dunleavy, who will miss his sixth-straight game tonight with the jammed right ankle, the MRI showed nothing as far as a setback.

According to Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, Dunleavy was getting closer, but still “a few days away.’’
