Metra warned commuters of possible delays for all inbound BNSF line trains and reported a stopped Heritage Corridor train Monday morning.

Mechanical problems had stopped BNSF line train no. 1234, which was scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 7:56 a.m. It was on the move by 8:16 a.m. and was delayed by about 50 minutes, Metra said.

Train. 1234’s problems has caused a possible 20-minute delay for all other BNSF trains heading in to Chicago, Metra said. Commuters should check metrarail.com for delay information.

A Heritage Corridor train, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 8:10 a.m., was stopped for freight train interference but was back on the move by 8:35 a.m. and was running about 40 minutes behind, Metra said.
