Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts heads to Beat Kitchen

Pro-wrestler-turned-stand-up comic Jake “The Snake” Roberts will be previewing his new “Unspoken Word” show at Our Town’s Beat Kitchen, 2100 W. Belmont. It all takes place Friday night with the WWE Hall of Famer combining comedy with tales from his years in the ring.

Roberts’ nickname, of course, comes from his pro wrestling days, when he would literally slither into the ring with a huge python hidden in a burlap sack.

The Friday gig will also include a meet ‘n’ greet with fans after the show. Autographs and photo opportunities will be possible for a small fee.

Also on the bill with Roberts will be local comedians Jamie Campbell and Ricky Gonzalez, as well as pro wrestler Sinn Bodhi, formerly WWE star “Kizarny.”
