The hot streak for Plainfield South continues as the Cougars fought back to beat Southwest Prairie foe Romeoville 43-39 Friday night.

Just as the Cougars, who have won four straight SPC decisions, battled back from a 0-6 season start, they battled back from a deficit on this occasion.

“Our kids really put forth a great effort for 32 minutes,” South coach Tim Boe said. “Sometimes when you’re putting forth a good effort and you look at the scoreboard and it’s not matching where your effort level is, it’s easy to give in. Our kids didn’t do that tonight and we didn’t expect them to. I couldn’t be more proud of our guys.”
