Two teens, man shot in West Garfield Park

Three people were shot early Saturday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 3:40 a.m., the three were in a vehicle that was traveling east in the 4500 block of West Lake when a dark colored sedan pulled alongside them and someone inside opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the left buttocks and a 17-year-old girl was shot in the right leg, Alfaro said. The third person, a 20-year-old man, was shot in the lower back.

All three showed up at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park where their conditions had stabilized, Alfaro said.
