Kelly Katis drives Barrington basketball win over Jacobs

BARRINGTON — With just over four minutes left in the Barrington girls basketball team’s 38-25 nonconference win over Jacobs on Saturday night, Broncos junior point guard Kelly Katis raced to the basket to try and make a layup.

Katis was fouled hard on the play, and hit the floor face-first. Without hesitation, she peeled herself up off the ground, then let out a grin. The play was symbolic of the relentless effort she gave all evening.
