Dan Sobolewski’s spark sends Benet into semifinals

Benet junior Dan Sobolewski recharged after Saturday morning’s win against Downers Grove South by taking a three-hour nap.

Later that evening, he took five charges and scored 16 points to lead the Redwings to a 58-54 victory over Metea Valley in a Wheaton Warrenville South MLK Tournament quarterfinal.

“I’m not going to be the guy that’s going to block a bunch of shots, but I had a couple, which isn’t normal,” Sobolewski said. “But I can definitely step over and take a charge for the team.”
