SHARE Burglar targeting businesses in Albany Park neighborhood

Police are warning Northwest Side Albany Park business owners after four storefronts were targeted in recent burglaries.

The suspect shatters the front glass door or window of a business on Kedzie Avenue with a brick or concrete block then steals property, according to the community alert from Area North detectives.

The burglaries happened:

– about 6 a.m. on Dec. 31 in the 4500 block of North Kedzie

– about 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 8 in the 4900 block of North Kedzie

– about 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 11 in the 4900 block of North Kedzie

– about 5:15 a.m. on Jan. 13 in the 4700 block of North Kedzie

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call detectives at (312) 744-8263.
