A man was shot early Saturday in the West Town neighborhood on the West Side.

The 26-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle about 2:50 a.m. in the 1800 block of West Rice when a white car pulled up alongside and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The man was shot in the lower back and was driven to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.
