Everyone was waiting for Plainfield East star Aaron Jordan to take over the game.

Instead, Naperville Central’s Matthew Meier seized control.

The junior guard utilized the moves that the Illinois-bound Jordan is known for — driving to the basket for pull-up jumpers or layups and drawing fouls — to score 14 of his game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter in leading the host Redhawks to a 47-43 upset victory on Tuesday.
