Zach West was honored prior to tipoff, but the Oswego senior standout was glad to share the postgame notoriety with teammates Brice Robinson and Malique Ross.

“As long as we win, keep our conference hopes alive, anyone can have the spotlight,” West said after the host Panthers vaulted over Plainfield South in the Southwest Prairie standings with Friday’s 59-37 victory.

Oswego (10-10, 5-2) had a phenomenal 24-point second quarter to build a 39-14 halftime lead. Plainfield South (8-12, 5-3) won the third quarter 17-5, but the surge didn’t carry over into the fourth.
