Oak Forest has several offensive weapons, and all were on display over the first 10 minutes of Friday night’s game against T.F. North as the Bengals jumped to a 20-12 lead.
Over the game’s remaining 22 minutes, though, the Meteors held Oak Forest to 14 points. Using a variety of traps and pressure defenses, visiting T.F. North took over the game and rolled to a 60-34 South Suburban Blue win.
“Coach (Tim Bankston) said defense was going to win this game,” T.F. North’s Chris Johnson said. “We knew we could win it with defensive pressure. We’ve won five games in a row now and it’s exciting.”
