New Trier’s Rachel West does the little things to help Trevians win

EVANSTON — Rachel West scored the first points of Friday’s 50-25 win over Evanston by doing what she does best.

West hustled after a teammate’s missed shot, grabbed the rebound in the lane and scored on a three-foot jumper. It was a sequence that probably would never make a highlight show, but it was one that coaches crave from their players.
