Woman shot in head in Douglas

A 26-year-old woman was shot in the head Sunday night in the Douglas neighborhood on the South Side.

About 7:40 p.m., a person entered a building in the 3500 block of South Rhodes and shot the woman in the head, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Sweeney said.
