A 54-year-old man was shot Wednesday morning in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The victim was shot in the ankle and leg about 10:20 a.m. in the 4300 block of West Cermak, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
