Mechanical problems in Roselle, Joliet disrupt Metra service

Mechanical problems in west suburban Roselle and southwest suburban Joliet are causing service disruptions on some Metra lines Wednesday morning.

Milwaukee District/West Line train No. 2212, scheduled to depart Roselle at 6:54 a.m. and arrive in Chicago at 7:53 a.m., will not operate due to mechanical problems, according to Metra’s website.

Train No. 2214 will accommodate passengers from Roselle to Franklin Park, Metra said. Passengers on that train who are not going to Chicago should disembark at Franklin Park.

Train No. 2218 will make all intermediate stops to Chicago and North Central service train No. 104 will accommodate passengers from River Grove to Chicago, Metra said.

Additionally, Heritage Corridor train No. 914, which was scheduled to depart Joliet at 5:45 a.m. and arrive in Chicago at 6:50 a.m., will also not operate due to mechanical problems, Metra said. Train No. 916, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 7:30 a.m., will accommodate passengers waiting for No. 914.
