That was part of the discussion when the Chicago Sun-Times editorial board met with the four candidates running for alderman in the 1st Ward at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, ahead of the Chicago municipal election on Feb. 24. Candidates also discussed the closure of a police station in the ward, their support for an elected school board and possible solutions to the city’s pension crisis.

The 1st Ward includes Logan Square, Ukrainian Village, Wicker Park and more.
