3 wounded in Ashburn shooting

Three people were wounded in an Ashburn neighborhood shooting on the Southwest Side on Saturday afternoon.

A woman and two men, all 19, were in a car about 3 p.m. in the 8100 block of South Campbell when another vehicle pulled up and someone with a gun got out and opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.

The woman was shot in the thigh and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Zala said. She was treated and released later Saturday.

A bullet grazed one man’s side and he was taken to Christ, and the other was taken to Stroger Hospital with a graze wound to the hand. Both were in good condition, police said.
