A low-pressure system is expected to form over Colorado Saturday and track into the Ohio River Valley by Sunday, creating a large swath of accumulating snow across the Midwest, the weather service said.

However, meteorologists warn that the system is still developing and forecasts could change, the weather service said. Anyone planning to travel Saturday night or Sunday should check updated forecasts as the storm develops.
