A South Side man charged with aggravated battery for shooting another man multiple times on New Year’s Day in Chicago Lawn was ordered held on a $500,000 bond on Saturday.
Jabari Biddings, 35, shot another 35-year-old man in the nose and arm in the 6600 block of South California about 12:25 p.m. on Jan. 1, according to Chicago police.
The victim was taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
Biddings, of the 7300 block of South Artesian, is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, police said.
A judge set his bond at $500,000 on Saturday, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. He is next due in court Feb. 6.
