A man who was fatally struck by a Red Line train early Sunday in the Uptown neighborhood was intoxicated when he accidentally fell onto the tracks, an autopsy found.
Quinton Davis, 31, was struck about 3 a.m. Sunday by a northbound Red Line train at the Argyle station in the 1100 block of West Argyle, officials said.
Davis, of the 3100 block of North Pine, was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4:11 a.m., the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
An autopsy Monday found he died of multiple injuries, and listed his fall from the platform “due to alcohol toxicity” to be a secondary factor, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled an accident.
