Police are searching for suspects who committed two armed robberies 15 minutes apart in the South Side Douglas neighborhood last week.
The robberies happened Friday, the first about 2 p.m. in the 2900 block of South Indiana; and the second about 15 minutes later in the 3200 block of South Rhodes, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
Two men got out of a black hatchback, approached Indian men, and pulled out a blue steel revolver, demanding “everything,” police said.
They stole cell phones, wallets, bags, debit cards, credit cards, cash, Indian currency and ID papers.
The suspects are described as black men between 18 and 25 wearing black hooded sweatshirts, police said. During one of the robberies, one of the suspects was wearing Ray-Ban sunglasses.
