A man walked into a South Side hospital Tuesday night after he was shot in the Oakland neighborhood, police said.

The 20-year-old walked into Mercy Hospital and Medical Center about 7 p.m. after he was shot in the left ankle in the 3800 block of South Vincennes, police said.

His condition had stabilized, police said.

According to a police source, the man was not cooperating with investigators.
